Nashville, TN - Shoney's Chairman & CEO David Davoudpour (right) presents a check for $20,800 to Chief Steve Anderson at the conclusion of the second annual Shoney's Family Fun Run on June 5. Joining Davoudpour and Anderson is NewsChannel 5 Sports Director Hope Hines, who emceed Saturday's event. The money will be deposited to the Nashville Police Support Fund, which is housed within the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The fund is primarily designed to provide financial assistance to officers wanting to complete or continue their higher education.
