Mackie Briley Hunt February 23 , 2010
She was born in Hardin County on December 19, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle Davis Hanna and Max Elmer Briley. She was united in marriage to Charles Emory Hunt on August 15, 1959 til April 5, 1994. She was a retired Hairstylist of 31 years. She and Emory were Foster Parents for 10 years. They Fostered 89 children during this time. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church for 33 years. She had one son, Charles Van Hunt who preceded her in death on November 18, 2001 at the age of 35 years old. She is survived by two daughters, Lorie Hunt Jackson of Savannah and Kristi Hunt of Olive Hill. Also 6 grandchildren, Lorie's children, Lana Brooke Skelton, Colton Todd Lumpkin and Danalee Van Ashton Jackson; Kristi's children, Kala Brooke Stricklin, Kellie Leann Stricklin and Noah Blake Stricklin. She also had 7 great grandchildren, Lana's children, Emorie Brooke Skelton and twin boys Ayden Wesley Skelton and Benjamin O'Bryan Skelton all of Mississippi. Colton's children, Jaxton Beau Lumpkin of Alabama and Landon Lumpkin of Virginia. Also survived by 2 sisters, Martha Jane Pitts of Savannah and DeAnna Briley Canabuss of Arkansas; two brothers, Maxwell Briley and Gary Briley of Arkansas. Visitation and calling hours are Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, 450 Church Street Savannah, Tennessee Services will be held on February 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Highland officiating. Burial is schedule to follow the service at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
