Melvin Michael Melson

Savannah, TN  —  Melvin Michael Melson was born in Harvard, Illinois on March 2, 1961 to the late Robert Taylor Melson and Lola Mae McClain Janis, who survives.

Mr. Melson was a disabled truck driver, who had worked for The Hardin County Nursery, as well as Clayton Mobile Homes.

Mr. Melson was a member of Hope Ministries in the Old Town community, where he also resided. In addition, he also lived in Poplar Grove, Illinois where he was raised.

Mr. Melson enjoyed bird watching, and loved cats, and dogs, and all animals.

Mr. Melson departed this life on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at the Hardin Medical Center at the age of 49 years.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Melson is also survived by 2 sisters, CW5 Robbie Tylene Pitts of Stockbridge, GA, and Sherry Michell Timm of Poplar Grove, IL.

Calling hours and visitation are scheduled for Thursday, March 4th, 2010 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM and Friday, March 5th, 2010 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, 450 Church Street Savannah, Tennessee

A service will be held on Friday, March 5th, 2010 1:00 PM at Shackelford Chapel, 450 Church Street Savannah, Tennessee with interment at Milledgeville Cemetery Milledgeville, Tennessee
