Dreamweavers production of “Annie Warbucks” Opens June 18
Savannah, TN - Dreamweavers of West Tennessee’s production of “Annie Warbucks” will be staged June 18-21.
The cast features a distinguished Daddy Warbucks, the famous red-headed cutie, Annie’s adorable orphan friends and even Annie’s furry sidekick (Sandy the Dog). Although the award-winning musical “Annie” is more well-known, “Annie Warbucks” continues the original storyline.
Set in 1933, “Annie Warbucks” starts out celebrating the wonderful news of Annie’s adoption. Unfortunately, the happiness is quickly threatened when it is revealed that Annie’s adoption may not be legal, due to the fact that Daddy Warbucks (played by Greg Franks) is unmarried. Not willing to loose Annie (played by Taylor Jones) over a technicality, Mr. Warbucks strikes a deal which gives him 60 days to find a wife for him and a mom for Annie.
And the search is on… Will Daddy Warbucks find a wife and mom in time? Can he find someone who will make Annie happy? Will he actually find love? Will Annie go back to the orphanage? The production will be staged June 18-20 at 7 pm and June 21 at 2 pm.
All performances will be at the Savannah Performing Arts Theater (old Savannah theater). Advance tickets are on sale at Briggs Wholesale in Savannah. For more information visit Dreamweavers on the web at www.drmwvrs.net. Meet Taylor Jones and Co. in our Community Connections!

The summer musical features a live orchestra made up talented area musicians.
